Emoryis pipping

draybar Aug 02, 2008 11:00 AM

My last clutch is hatching and it is emoryis.
There are six eggs and the parents were supposed to be het albino......
WHOO WHOO ..THEY ARE!!!!!!!!
Two eggs are pipping and one of the pippies is an albino!!!
The eggs were a little "calcified", for lack of a better word, and there are some thin areas in the shells. Three of the remaining four eggs look grey inside but one has a nice pinkish tint showing through a clear area so I would be willing to bet I will be getting two albinos out of the six.
NOW, if I could just get lucky enough to get a male and a female...that would be nice
here is a shot of one of the ones that hatched last week from my other pair and a shot of the new pippies

Thanks
To some it might not be very special but considering the first pair of emoryis only producewd four good eggs, none of which were amel, it is nice to know that I will at least get a couple of amels. It does confirm that at least one pair is het amel so I have something to work with.
I was just looking at the hatchlings from the first clutch and whether they are albino or not, they are some nice looking emoryis.
I may not get rid of any of them this season. I may just keep all ten hatchlings.
This could be fun!

Wow, pretty cool! I'll probably get into the albinos eventually.

Cheers...TC

If lead paint is so deadly why do they make it so delicious?
