I have 4.5 foot male kingsnake, hes about 8 years old, very healthy. But roughly every other summer he stops eating for 2 or 3 months, turns his nose to anything i offer. Than he'll suddenly decide he wants to eat and is back to his normal glutton self. This drives me crazy! He doesnt lose weight and he is active ALL DAY everday when hes not eating, and somtimes a bit of the night to. He has a big tank with proper heat and light schedules and hide boxes. I dont try and force food on him either. He has just come out of a 2 month respite on mice and now is eating like a pig again. Is there a reason why he does this, like a breeding season or something? He is not normally a fussy eater, and he takes prekilled mice. Any answers or advice would be appreitiated!
