I was checking on the rosy boas this morning and discovered that one of my females layed a litter of 6 babies, 2 albinos and 2 normals. She is earlier than I expected as the rosy season usually doesn't start for me until the tail end of August.

2 of the albinos, I am assuming are twins because they are still attached to the same umbilical cord. This is a first for me to see alive. I have only had twin still borns before. These two are also smaller than the other sibilings. Here is a shot with the two on the right and a normal sized sibing on the left.

It's turning out to be a pretty exciting weekend for me so far.
Thanks for looking,
Milo

Milo,

Those are beautiful little boas.

I would say a great weekend.

My BP clutch ended with 5 alive two dead

The one I put back in egg has absorded 95 percent of the yolk and will be fine.

Congrats on the great weekend!!!!!!!

Thanks Ed.
Unfortunately one of the twins didn't make it. Surprisingly the larger of the two. The rest are all doing fine so far. I am expecting some other rosies this season too so I'll post pics as they arrive. Hopefully some other rosy morph stuff too.

I had a couple of slug out litters with BCI this year so finding healthy babies sure help make up for it.

Milo,
You have to have the most diverse group of babies than anyone. Says alot about your husbandry skills.
Huge congrats!!
Paul

I appriciate the compliment. I do get somewhat diverse with what I keep but I enjoy them all and as I'm sure everyone here would agree, if you do this for the enjoyment of it and love of the animals the husbandry part comes pretty easy.

Wooo!! Babies! Seems to be that time of year. Congrats!

Like I said, earlier than expected for the rosies but as long as they're healthy I'll take it. Once they start though it makes waiting on the others that much tougher. I'm constantly checking on the rest now.

Wow, that momma's very pretty. Nice litter, congrats!

Surrounded by a bunch of BRB, some Ridleyi, a few Grey Banded Kings, Australian Cattle Dogs, a Belgian Malinois, assorted Mustelids and an incredibly tolerant male human.

Thanks Julie! I like her too. Even though I do a lot with rosy boas for morphs, one of my favorite things about them is how variable and beautiful the "normal" looks from all the different localities are.
