Curious your Opinion.....

ExecutiveReptiles Aug 02, 2008 10:18 PM

I was curious what fellow Bearded Dragon Keepers and Breeders thought of these two Beardeds.... we have these two Bearded Dragons....their colors are pretty different from each other, and I was curious what people thought of them, Good or Bad....I know they are not morphs or anything...but they both to me seemed to be different than many other "Normal" Bearded Dragons....One we got from a freind the One that has the blue/grey slate coloration, and the other one we hatched out is the more Orange one.....I liked them cause they where so different from each other...and stood out from all the others in the clutches...

Curious what people thought of them....Are they Plain Jane Beardeds? Nice Normals? Don't Breed them cause they will probably produce ugly offspring...lol, or ideas on what to pair them with if not together...(they are 1.1) I am not current on what types there are now...I remember back in the day when their was Brown and the famous "Sandfire"....lol, That was back when even the slightest bit of orange on or around the face was the coolest thing ever...man times have changed....lol, now seeing pics of the HypoTrans....WHOLY COW... We are slowly getting back into Bearded Dragons after about 8 years of not having them...

Anyway....Even if you think they are CRAP...lol, let me know..Thanks to all those who reply...We just placed them together for a few quick pics..

They are both nice, the orange one is pretty bright, and the lighter one, is a cool blue.

they look good. the lighter one looks like some pastel, or maybe snow in it. the other one looks like an orange sandfire.

the term "morph" in the bearded world means the color of the dragon or a trait, examples. hypo-trans, trans, snow, sandfire, bloods, etc.

So some are genetic morphs...and some are just selectively bred right? while some might be a certain color, that doesn't mean they are a genetic morph right? Some people breed for color...but that doesnt mean its a genetic morph...right?

In the case of the Lucys, and Hypo and Translucents....those are genetic morphs...that produce hets...that when bred to another het can produce more...right?

Curious if there is a list of genetic morphs...?

The lower dragon looks kind of silver...If you took dark grey normal dragons and made them hypo you would probably get lots of silver.

I've bred similar colored dragons and got awesome colored offspring. I'd breed them.......that my humble opinion..
