I know there is basic ideas on 3 gal tub setups for young ins to yearlings. I have been to some of those setup sites, just want some feedback from someone with exp with 1 basic tub. I'm just real torn and want to make sure I do the right thing. What heating source is the best....that won't kill humidity....and what thermostat and thermometer is best....thanks all!

I made mine originally modeled on Greg Maxwell's neonate tub. Now, I don't use a heat lamp, I just put several UTH tank heaters on the side of the tubs with some electrical tape. Usually the top half and a side wall. Then I use Herpstat thermostats and put the probe at the level of the perch on the warm side. I set up the amazons the same way. The heat lamp setup worked fine, but it takes up more space as you have to have room for the lamp to sit on top of the enclosure. The heat mat takes no room at all.
