First corns of the year- butter mots and

blichtenhan Aug 03, 2008 10:14 PM

I have hatched some speckled kings and some bulls so far this year, but these are the first corns. It was a great clutch too, 18/19 eggs hatched with all healthy babies.
I have a butter motley that is really nice bright yellow, and I bred her to a golddust motley male, and I have not counted them, but it does look pretty close to a 50/50 split on golddust and butter motleys.
Both parents have near perfect motley patterns, and every one of these babies have near perfect patterns as well, no striping or banded motleys at all. Hopefully some of these butter mots will turn out as nice as their mom. Thanks, Brad Lichtenhan
