nodaksnakelover Aug 03, 2008 11:00 PM

Just thought I'd share a couple pictures that I took today while cleaning some baby snakes. These are Northern Pine babies. Enjoy!

Russell,
Oh man, I see real potential in those. You don't have to tell me that things can really change in colors and contrast in N Pines, but I'd be willing to wager that the one in the first two photos will be extreme hi-white and the one a couple photos down has got that red blotching that I myself prize and has a very good chance of retaining much of it. The two pair I got from you in 05 are 5' now and God willing, I plan to breed them next season. They are beauties and the most docile of all my animals.

It's good to hear back from past customers on how snakes are doing! Would be great if you would post pics of how they turned out!

Br8knitOFF Aug 04, 2008 06:26 AM

Phew! Very nice contrast on those babies!

Thanks for sharing!

Very Nice Russell. I love that first one. See you at Tinley.

Take care

Wow, those are stunning! Any chance of getting one? I'd be very tempted.

tortoiseguy Aug 04, 2008 01:56 PM

I am supposed to be picking up a pair from Russell at Tinley Park this year. Can't wait.

Take care,
Jeff Port

And Tinley is the ony place these will be going to this year...first come first serve! Well, except for my friend Jeff...he's got prior arrangements...he he he... But really, I don't expect to have many of these at the show. There were 16 babies altogether. Two of them have been wholesaled out already. And I'll probably keep back five... And then Jeff will get his pair... So that will only leave seven! See you in October Jeff! I can't wait for the show! Will be my daughter's first reptile show...well, big show anyway!

tortoiseguy Aug 04, 2008 09:13 PM

Russell,
Really looking forward to Tinley. I bet your daughter is excited too. Have you decided which of the pines are available so I can pick my new babies? Shoot me some pics if you have decided so that way you will know what is left. Thanks again.

Take care,
Jeff

Good grief! I haven't finished deciding which ones I want yet! LOL! I thought I'd raise them up for a while, let them grow and shed several times, and THEN make the final decision like...the day before I pack for Tinley! Just SO much easier on me that way! And as I've already told someone else, it's just easier if we wait till Tinley. You go and pick something now based on a camera picture...you might regret it later! I'd sure hate for to come pick up some preselected pair, and then watch someone else pick up a baby that in person catches your eye MORE than the pair you preselected from photos! I've had that happen enough where people see pictures, but what they select in person isn't always the same! Just make sure your first in line, you'll be ok. LOL!

tortoiseguy Aug 05, 2008 12:09 PM

Russell,
No problem. That works fine for me. See you soon.

Take care,
Jeff

nodaksnakelover Aug 05, 2008 01:15 PM

ah...pm sent...LOL!

tortoiseguy Aug 05, 2008 02:37 PM

nodaksnakelover Aug 05, 2008 03:41 PM

Russell, I figured out the problem. Email sent to you.

Take care,
Jeff

Only available at Tinley! I don't mess with shipping! Too difficult for a guy that lives out in the sticks of North Dakota! And cause I live in such a rural area shipping costs are much higher and I always get stuck with the unseen charges and then cost of gas driving an hour or more just to get them shipped. Plus the time taken away from a day just to make a trip to ship babies! So now I only do wholesale and try to do one show a year. And for me, Tinley is the show to do!

monklet Aug 05, 2008 01:21 PM

Thanks man. I understand, just had to ask

Well buddy, I have to break my heart and let some of em go...LOL! I had it down to five, but told myself I need to let the one female go...man I don't really want to, but I did. She's on hold for someone. But yeah, it's fun going through them all! Take care!
