What would you guys say is the largest type/locale of kingsnake, and how big? If anyone has any pictures that would be cool too.

The Eastern (Chain) Kingsnake has a record length of 82 inches. I don't think there's any photos of that one. I've seen some 6 footers though.

You know what's interesting...I was able to find a size of 82 inches for both the Eastern subspecies and Peninsula intergrade from northern Florida, but could not find the reference for those sizes. I think the record for Easterns may be based on the intergrade snake from FL. Either that, or 2 different snakes were both found to be the record size. Hmmmm....

I know on blackkingsnake.com they recently caught a black king about 60'', a new record. That's a hefty snake!

Are the Florida kings, and Florida/Eastern intergrade kings on the upper west coast of the Florida peninsula, from Pinellas County up through Dixie County. I've heard a few reliable stories of kings over 6 feet, close to or at 7 feet. The biggest one I caught in this area was 5'3"

Lake Okeechobee kings can get quite large in some areas of the canefields. The biggest one I caught was 5'6", but I have caught several others there over 5'.

Here's a pic of my 9 year old, rat-pounding, captive born ( S. Ga. locality Eastern King) male. He was just a tad over six foot in this old picture. I will be taking new pics of him very soon...
My biggest ever was a 6'5" male (also from S.Ga. locality), that passed away a couple of years ago due to old age.
