This was our first year of breeding our 2005 double het. for axanthic X hypo bulls. To produce the double hets we bred hypo. Stillwater locale bulls to our Miami CO. Kansas locality Axanthics. We held back all of the offspring and this year we attempted to breed 3 double het pairs. We were successful in getting two clutches one 7 egg clutch that just hatched and a smaller 5 egg clutch that is due in another two weeks.
The first clutch hatched out over the weekend the hatch results were 1.2 Normal Possible triple hets for axanthic, hypo, and ghost. We got 0.2 hypos possible double hets for axanthic and ghost. We got 1.0 axanthic possible double het for hypo and ghost, and lastly we gost 0.1 true ghost possible double het for axanthic and hypo.
To my knowledge one was produced earlier this year, but it did not make it, I will post pics of the entire clutch once they all shed out as they are already in the blue. The odds of producing a ghost mathmetically is i in 16 so I fell lucky to have produced one, maybe i will get lucky and get a second one with the second clutch.
