No BRB for me...

olstyn Aug 04, 2008 11:18 AM

...at least, not yet. After much hemming, hawing, debate and deliberation, we came to the conclusion that now is not the time. I guess I'll just have to keep looking at pictures and being jealous for now. On some level, I wasn't expecting telling the apartment manager that we were getting a snake to be fun, but I figured it wouldn't really be that big of a deal. Mainly I'm just disappointed, but it seems like it's just going to have to wait until such time as we've got a bigger place, preferably a house of our own. Ah well, maybe by then my brother will have another litter, or maybe I'll be able to get one of Dave's pearls - I think they're quite beautiful.

Anyway, thanks again to all who provided tons of useful info, encouragement, and a friendly welcome. Hopefully I'll get to make use of all that knowledge for real sometime in the future.

Hm, I realize I may have made it sound like it was forbidden by the apartment manager - it never actually got to that stage. We ended up deciding that we just don't have the space right now.

Drag. Chin up tho...it took me 20 years to get my first BRB after my first exposure to them and they're a hell of a lot better looking now thanks to captive breeding efforts. The wait sucks, but then you can go completely over the top with your collecting. Its even better than buying shoes and bags! hehe..
