Eclipse???

leo_lover07 Aug 04, 2008 03:31 PM

Someone brought this poor guy into the store and said they couldn't care for him anymore. So I took him in, his name is shadow (b/c of the black eyes). Eclipse is the gene for black eyes if I'm correct. The morph of the gecko doesn't matter, as long as it has black eyes or partial black eyes does that automatically make it an eclipse? Since he has no orange coloration and is very pale. Would that make him a pastel eclipse???
Thanks, Cheyenne.

Well i can't say for sure whether your gecko is an eclipse or not, but no just because it has black eyes does not make it an eclipse. The blizzard gene for example will cause partial or solid black eyes but has nothing to do with eclipses. Im sure there are other genes like the blizzard but i dont know them off the top of my head, also there cant be an albino eclipse, otherwise it would be a raptor.
