Red Devil Q for Jeremy......

Sun_King Aug 04, 2008 07:50 PM

So do you think that the Red Devil is reproducable or was it a fluke? It seems that everyone has an opinion about it but does not know. So, are you thinking that it is a super hypo super motley or is it a hypo super motley or just a freak anomaly? I would think that the super mot's all black would overide the hypo however the super hypo would overide the super mot gene and thus give us an all pink/red snake. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Joe,

To be honest, I don't know. I know I did produce a still, and I hope it can be reproduced. My opinion is that if it is produced, it is the SUPER Hypo Super Motley.

As far as a Fluke, only future breedings will tell. I hope not. However, just on the Hypo motley side, it is cool to have a similar "dominant" animal. When you breed it to a normal, you get either HYPOS, or Motleys NO normals.

I hope to answer this soon, and have a few more breedings that will help us understand. Paul brought up a very good point. The Siblings may have something going on, I have bred a motley sib to a Motley though, with just 1/2 being Motley, nothing special.

However, look at the Lesser Gene in Balls, to get a Platinum, you have be breed a Sibling NORMAL back to a Lesser Daddy? WHACKY!!!! Same with Paradigm. Who would have thought??

Jeremy
