Little Sulfurs...

foxturtle Aug 05, 2008 12:30 PM

I just got nice group of hatchling sulfur kings from Lindsay Pike this morning. These are from Len Krysko's lines, and are Hillsborough County, Florida animals.

(I'm trying out a different photo host, so please let me know if these don't come up.)

My favorites of the group are...

This low band count male:

...and this colorful, wide-banded female:

These next two are a couple more females...

This one has a fairly standard FL king pattern, but is colored nicely:

This one is the smallest, and least colorful, but should grow up to look nice:

This is a female I got from Lindsay last year, and is around 2 feet now. She started out less colorful than the above snakes, and had no speckling. She is looking pretty good now:

I've got 2.4 sulfurs from the Krysko line now, but only my big male will be breedable next year. I have a female Hillsborough County king that I caught last year, and an F1 from the same spot, which I will probably breed my big male to next year. Both are pretty standard looking for FL kings, so it'll be interesting to see what the offspring come out like.

Just my 2 cents but that first one is a smoker! Nice little project you have there. Best of luck with them.
