constipated/overweight?

My 2 year old gray-banded kingsnake is 480g and 43 inches long is that normal for a kingsnake his age? He is fed 1 adult mouse every 7 days.
Also, he has not pooped in about 9 days and he is not ready to shed. Is there some way I can get him to poo?

That is a VERY large 2 year old gray band. I would love to take a look at him.. Can you post a pic?

I would not be at all concerned with the "poop" thing.. I am sure he will go when he is ready.

That is the largest 2 year old alterna i have ever seen.. Did you get it as a hatchling?? Meaning are you 100% sure it's only 2 years old or were you told it was 2 years old?

Very nice looking snake by the way!!

Yes I'm 100% sure he's 2 years old. I bought him when he was only 2 weeks old. I asked the breeder when he was hatched.
Largest as in fattest or as in longest?

Thanks. I wish my camera could zoom in on his grey scales. They have an orange fringe.

Well, i don't want to say fat and insult the animal.. let's just say big boned... ~ Joke of course! In my opinion, and i am sure others will agree.. He is a very big boy for 2 years.. I feed pretty well here and i have never had an alterna get that large in 2 years..

Would you mind if i shipped you a bunch of my holdbacks and you can grow them for me??

Not as long as you don't mind my fee of keeping half (kidding).

If you think he is overdue on the poo
you can let him soak in water
for just an hour or two.

I tried that and he did some weird twitching motion, but it wasn't seizure-like. I remember reading something similar happening to a corn snake and it later died so I took him out right away.

Not sure what that would be, or even if that would mean anything at all.

The water should be about room temp, not hot or cool, and it should not be very deep, just enough to keep the snake wet while they move around in it, they should not have to swim or float for air. With any luck after doing this a time or two they will take care of themselves.
