Finally, 2008 begins (for me!

Jeff Favelle Aug 06, 2008 02:08 PM

Like clockwork, Day 105 after POS.....

Woke up to this today:

I moved the "birthing-bin", which, of course, they never use.....

Figured I was done, so I moved the water dish.....:D

The whole mess of them. Looks to be about 8-10 Sunglows. Hard to tell, I was taking handfuls out of the cage. LOL

I must have just missed the birthing because a couple Boas were still bursting through their "sacs". I picked up this Albino to try and get a picture of it in the membrane, but it "hatched" right in my hands! Too cool for this reptile geek, let me tell you!!

Cheers all! 1st Boa litter of the year is on the ground and running! Well....slithering.....

Congratulations. Looks like a beautiful litter. Holding the one while it came out of the membrane had to be a pretty cool experience.

Not like clockwork. 7 days early (Day 98)....but what a HUGE litter! Female in the top left corner coming to check things out.....

Got the mass of wrigglers into a holding bin for clean-up, sexing, and sorting. Took a pic. Being early, they do have fat yolk sacs, but they are dynamite and are already basking and absorbing the extra albumin! :D

Keeper female DH Sunglow:
