dacherrypicker Aug 06, 2008 06:02 PM

What are the spotnose morph used for? And also how can you tell the difference between that and a normal? Is there a spotnose mojave? I have new mojave male that has one yellow spot right on his lip!! Its pretty cool looking!! Ill have to take some pictures of course!

Spotnoses sometimes have spots on their nose (sounds funny doesn't it ) But more often they are known for very dark rich blacks, light green/tan coloration, a funky head pattern, and abberrant patterns

Hope that and the pic helps

Craziest looking Spotnose I've seen, hands down.
Most I've seen have broken dorsal striping, with little banding or involvement of the side pattern.

Yours?
What I picture the Woma Spotnose cross to look like.

Congratulations on that beauty.

The color and pattern is spectacular, when combined with other morphs I believe the gold and black will pop. And the super spotnose, well who knows what that will do to a combo, no ones seen any.

As for the Spot-Mojo I think it will, change the color a little ,busy up the pattern, and add a little crispness to a great morph. But that's just a guess.LOL

Here is my new male mojave! You can see the spots on his lip. There is the big one on the left side and then another on the other. I just got him from Steve Gooch!! Very Nice guy!!! Thanks Steve! Either way he is a nice mojo in my book!

Colors are different in the spot-mojo. The head is super light, and overall coloration tends more towards the gold and lightens up the black. If that makes sense.

Heres a mojo and spot mojo side by side, flash washed out the colors but you can see the difference in the heads.

You can see the difference when they are side by side. The spot-mojo pops.

So I'd say no, the head is typical of the mojo, and colors are too dark. But as to it being a looker, MOST DEFINATELY! Congrats!

The spotnose has a hidden gene in it which when breed to inself it can make what some call a powerball. It is an all white with a black webing on it, it looks very cool. Spotnose still are rather new in the ball world and the powerballs are extreamly hard to find even pictures of. I have only seen one picture in the compleat ball python book by Nerd, but one day hope to ad some to my collection.
