I have a pair of 100% hets. First bred last year, 4 eggs, 1 made it and was normal. This is year 2, 6 eggs, 4 made it, 1 pied.

Killer, so its a simple recessive gene also? I didn't know that. Where did you get the 100% hets?

Thanks

Certainly appears so You should see the animals from a Pied to Pied breeding, happened for the first time last year. Put my animal here to shame really. Much more white. I'm not permitted at this time to divulge the source of this line, but I will ask the party if I can share their info.

Hets were advertised in the classifieds, I don't recall from who.

That thing is sweet! I've seen the piebalds with a patch of white on the head, but never with that much white on the sides.

Indeed, for a het to het breeding this animal is rather outstanding.

Incredible looking!!!!!!!!!! Are the piebalds the only known morph of black pines? I never heard or seen any other phase of this snake. Rick Krumrine also breeds these, he had them offered in the classifieds not to long ago. If your line is not related to his you should see if you can swap a few down the road to strengthen the line. Congrats you are one lucky fella!!!!!!!!! I cant wait to see some photos of that sucker down the road!!!!!!!!!!

That snake is awesome. Makes me want to see the other piebalds from the line where your hets came from. Congrays!
