Vision Rack Question???

reptilicus81 Aug 07, 2008 04:13 PM

Hi,

We saw a Model # V-35 Rack (11 high 2 tubs wide) used for a great price, and we are considering buying it, but the tub size is a bit smaller than a 32 qt. It is actually 20 x 15 x 5.5 according to Visions site.

Anyways, I was curious if anyone has this rack, and if they know if any other tub will fit it. A 41 qt would fit it except height... the rack is 5.5 inches and a 41 qt is 6 inches. I noticed though that the measurements for a 32 quart were off on the Vision site compared with various other sites, so perhaps they are off on the tub size listed for this rack as well.

I'd love to be able to add some longer bins to it!

I've only got the V-70 racks but from what I understand the double V-35 racks are just the V-70s sideways. If that is the case then any tub that is not any wider than 15 inches or any deeper than 20 (measured at the widest points) should fit - heights can be adjusted by adding or customizing your spacers.

If you turn the rack side ways you can use the v-70 tubs. I like the v-35 rack for a lot of my breeder colubrids and some raise up ball pythons.

Thanks so much for clarifying! I didn't even think about adjusting the spacers...I may have to pick up this thing after all!

We can make the 41 qt tub work in the rack, but the Iris CB 70 and our V-70 tubs are a bit larger and work a lot better.

Give us a call if you would like to discuss it.

Thanks again! It is a really cool rack! We already have the 1756 model and love its versatility.

If I have any more questions I'll be sure to call!
