Albino's

pperron92 Aug 08, 2008 12:00 AM

Im just about to buy my first couple pairs of albino's for both hobby and breeding. Do you think the market for albino's will hold between $800-$400 dollar range over the next couple of years? Im just curious what people think. I'm new to the breeding world ....do you think I picked a good morph to start of with? Id like to make my money back but, im also okay if I dont. I know its a gamble but, Im not just in it for the money..they will also be a part of the family and a great project for my son and I.

Assuming nothing bad happens and you get two healthy unrelated snakes, you will definitely make your money back with albinos. Same with pies. It might take two breeding seasons, but I wouldn't be too worried. I can't honestly see albino's dropping below the $200 mark for a LONG time. Just remember to be picky and not always look for the cheapest price. A high contrast albino will outsell a bland one any day of the week.
