Lucky drive.

Have you seen any rosy boas up there?

I never have, though I assume those boas labeled "San Gabriel Mts" are found there. I have found several boas directly accross Cajon Pass in the western San Bernardinos above Cal State. But in my experince, Rosies show up when you least expect them. Like Mt Kings, they are always a nice suprise.

this was a banner year for "baldy boas." There were 4,379 of them found, all photographed and released except for 4,378.

Sweet find!!! I love the black cross overs on it.
I'm kind of partial to the contrast of high black tricolored
lampropeltis. I've seen some really nice, very high black,
Parvirubra from San Berdue County. The look a lot like the black and white Multicincta from just south of Yosemite. Congratulations!!!

Thanks for that, Phil. What the prominent black pattern lacks in flash it makes up for with elegance, I think. Plus, he's a cool snake, very bold.

Man that's a killer find bro! I grew up in Claremont right at the base of Mt. Baldy and I now live in Lytle Creek. I've never seen a Mt. King. I figure my odds are about as good as they are of seeing an alien spacecraft.
