Attaching acrylic window in tubs

bakeaway Aug 09, 2008 12:29 PM

Has anyone ever cut a section out of a tub (rubbermaid, etc) and attached acrylic to make a window in the tub. Almost like the IRS or Freedom tubs. If so, did you attach on the outside or inside. And what type of adhesive.

Thanks
David

I attached 1/4" acrylic on the inside, making sure to cut it to size for a pretty snug fit. I used rivets or small screws and washers. Then a bead of silicone where the acrylic butted up against the tub side. I only did this a handful of times but did like the results.
