I was just wondering if anyone what any recommended incubator thermometer brands and also incubator thermistats for a reasonable price.

We use a Helix for our incubator....last year we hatched out some Jungle Carpet Pythons...seems to work pretty well. Never used any other brands, but the Helix works for us....

We have used Rancos and currently Johnson Controls over the last 5 years or so. Never a hiccup out of either. For both heat tape and visual light setups. We use a double Johnson for the primary (larger) incubators.
