Anerys type 1 and CAB Hypo

a_chen_tw Aug 10, 2008 11:36 AM

I have just bought a hypo Nicaraguan female today. I plan to breed the female with my Columbian anerys type 1 male . I am just wondering , what kind of morph the litter will be ? het for ghost 100% or some other morphs else ?

thanks.

Nic= Central American
Colombian? You do know that these are different species, right? You might want to breed CA to CA.

Good luck though, they might be some cool looking babies!

Hi,
They are both Boa constrictor imperator. The only difference currently recognised is a local difference.
I do agree, however, that you should bred local specific.

I know they are both BCI just different locality type .

My question is if I breeding a Columbian male Anerys type 1 with a Nicaraguan hypo female , will the litter be :

50% hypo and het for ghost 100% neonates

50% normal appearance and het for anerys 100% neonates ???

Or the 2 types of gene will never effects each other and I will receive nothing special of I breeding these 2 snakes ?

I am just wondering .

thanks.
