buy alot of them, they are cheap enough to buy three and keep the ones you want after a year

Look for bright yellow neonates with little to no orange on them. The orange areas on neos are the areas that will turn brown as they age.
Pastels are everywhere so don't jump on the first "deal" you encounter - be picky and patient. Being willing to spend a little extra will increase your chances of finding that "Special" Pastel.
Also, look for hatchlings that have shed a couple times. Most morphs are very vibrant straight out of the egg, after a couple sheds their true colors begin to show.
