I just couldn't wait another day.
I dug this one up.
I know, stupid.
Anyway, is this how the egg sack connector (name for this?) bit should look?
thanks,p

He looks fine. The residual yolk sac will dry up and rub off within a week or so.

There was a residual yolk sac for the first few days, now there is just that mark.I moved them into their own box a few days ago, so I haven't seen them since.
I realize that of my 7 live hatchings, I have not seen them this young. They must stay in the peat substrate for quite a bit of time. Like WEEKS. If I hadn't been digging down to peek at the egg every day (???) I wouldn't have known that these 2 had hatched.
Is there a time when I should drag them up and feed them? No, of course not. I'm just looking for an excuse to see the 2 little buggers....
thanks/p

I will be honest-I would dig them up in a month's time because I would be too curious to let nature take its course
I would give them a good soaking in tepid water and continue to do that until they begin to eat. Good luck! Tess
Thanks Tess./p
