A cloudy day is

Dniles Aug 10, 2008 06:42 PM

good for taking pics at least. I need new lighting in the snake room to enjoy these views more often. Even when the sun came out, these looked electric in the shade. A clutch from each of these females is due to hatch any day now. This male looked lit up outside in natural light. Females are top two pics, male is bottom pic.

Enjoy.

Here is the moose outside for some fresh air. Here also is an 06 male that has almost finished changing colors.

Great stuff there Dave!,....I like the way you depicted the '06 youngster closeup that still exhibited some of the juvenile pattern in detail. You don't see a lot of those shots!

Great shots as usual... the shot of the juvie male is really solid... I've been pondering how to 'pull off' a good shot -- nice work. Good luck with what you've got cooking...

Thanks Chris. I took a ton of shots and had to throw away most of them. Some of the best shots were when I didn't even look through the camera...just clicked the button from a strange angle. Photography is clearly not my strength.

Man, that deep red is really nice on those!

Thanks Tim. Some of them look more maroon than red. Good luck with your nelsoni clutch that was just dropped.

Nice stuff, Dave! The amels are beautiful, but those gaigeae are AWESOME. Keep the pics of that big boy coming!

Thanks Cole. I'll try to get her out again when I have some help! She's too darn heavy to hold in one hand for very long.
