I had a litter born July 6. So far all but six are eating. Live rodents are not readily available and so I am offering f/t only. What should I do? Will they come around and start eating or should I be more aggressive?
Thanks,
Dan

I have found that the reluctant feeders will sometimes require one or two live meals to get them started. The constant movement of a live prey item seems to stimulate their feeding response when just shaking a f/t in front of their nose or leaving it in overnight does not. You might have to put in that extra effort to locate the live feeders just to get them started. I have also used scented pinkies(piercing the top of the head to let some fluid ooze out) for my Honduran Milksnakes but have never tried them on boas. Good luck, I know it can be a little nerve racking when the clock keeps ticking and your babies are not feeding.
