Diamonds refusing meals!

JasonMc Aug 11, 2008 01:13 PM

So I purchased some baby diamond pythons a week ago. Thinking a week is enough time to adjust to the new environment I decided to throw in a weaned mice. The snakes watched the mice but didnt show any real interest in eating. They just stayed up on their branch's. Is their something different I should try or am I rushing too quickly to feed them?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks:
Jasonmc

I would suggest dangling the food in front of their faces, Buy some tongs for them. Also you could try more of a fuzzy mouse but not quite a hopper.

Also you may want to check all your temp's and make sure there right.

"You keep WHAT in your freezer?" "Mice. And rats. If that bothers you, I can call them 'cows' instead."

I have bred some Diamond over time, and in my opinion they will take bigger food than you think,,like fuzzy mice,,also Natal mice(fuzzys)
You can also try Indians( pink with chicken fethers)

hope it works
