On Friday 115 usd per barell (London - Brent). Was already 147 usd in July.. US light (better qlty) petroleum is always approx 2-5% more expensive.

Still you in US are quite lucky with prices.. in EU are prices of fuel due to price so high.. approx 9 dollars per gallon.

Just have seen some joke regarding snakes.. may be you know.. I will try to translate :

Phone call..

Haloo, it's ZOO there?
Yes.
I got your number from County rescue department. There is f....g snake in my flat.
How it got there? What is it like, can you describe?
Through ventilation system.. cannot say.. like.. like grass-snake may be.. but I'm not expert..
Describe it.
Middle size.. fast.. moreless black..
So it could be grass-snake.. Try to catch that.
How??
Simply, with your bare hands. Or..
Or WHAT??
Are you Greenpeace guy, or Earth child or something like?
No.

when i read your post i thought UK maybe because of the petrol prices there or the fact that Anheuser Busch was/or going to be sold and was doing a quality check yesterday evening...Nice Kings you have posted

Strangely enough I have heard from quite a few breeders who were paranoid about people buying snakes in general. Oddly enough many people I know have been selling snakes very consistently even with the price of gas and other expenses. I never go to Daytona with confidence I will sell a lot or have money to buy things but missing the show is not an option for many reasons. I planned ahead and can not wait to get there, matter of fact I arrive on Thursday this year for an extra day of partying AND they're letting us set up on Thursday this year too!
We all worry about money, but missing out on a weekend that means so much to so many should not be an option. I think the colubrid market is going to do very well over the next few years but some who got in on other things at the wrong time are hating life about now.

Are ya rfering to the Hondos and Balls?

New stuff

MikeRusso Aug 11, 2008 10:40 PM

I usually don't like to assume what people are thinking.. But i would think Tom is reffering to high end balls??

I understand that hondo prices have dropped in the past couple of years, but i don't think there are many guys out there who invested tens of thousands of dollars in hondos like so many people have done with balls, only to find that the market has dried up..

I could be wrong, but ill bet tom was referring to balls..
