You might want to check out Greg Maxwell's book The More Complete Chondro for all your answers. These are pretty basic questions and can be found with just a bit of effort on your part. There are plenty of online sources including Greg Maxwell's site that list husbandry needs for a chondro.

The book would be your best bet...It will lay everything out in a very enjoyable/informative read. There are also an ample number of websites that give good tips on how to keep a chondro. You might want to check a few of these out (they have sections that describe the methods they use)
Greg Maxwell's site: finegtps.com
Kim Burge's site: Southernchondros.com
Mike Bair's site: chondrodreams.com
Rob Worrell's site: allchondros.com
these along with the book, should arm you with all the knowledge you need to be successful.
