Black throat breeding size?

sincitydragons Aug 11, 2008 11:41 PM

I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm going to ask anyway... I have a black throat that I'm fairly certain is a female and wondered what the typical size the females start breeding is. I also wanted to know if anyone has a female thats maybe 5 years or older how big she is. Mine is close to 1.5 years old and just a little over 3ft. Should I go by size or age or both? Thanks for reading and to anyone who can help.

They can breed at much younger ages, and at a similar size (survival feature). My female currently (before having her fixed) cycled at under a year old (over 3ft, under 4ft), then at about 1.5 years old and 5.5ft (at this time I was making alot of changes and she became eggbound with 40 plus eggs).
3ft and 5 years or more? Seems like theres a few problems. Ive heard of females cycling at 2ft long (cape banded WT and crosses), and just over 6 months old.
