Anyone Creative?

aanata1 Aug 12, 2008 01:36 AM

I'm usually really good at this, but I can't think of a name for my snake "business" to save my life! I've been mulling over this for months now, and nothing has come to me. The best I can think of is Southwest Serpents because I'm from San Diego, and the vast majority of my BCIs are some form of Sonoran. But I'm just not sold on it.

I'm working with BRBs (anery and hypo) and BCIs (incl. leopard, blood, moonglow, and paradigm).

Any thoughts would help!!

I've been thinking of using the word Sinuous... Maybe Sinuous Serpents or Snakes, but I don't really want to use alliteration. What do you think of Sinuous Creatures? I don't know I'm just so bad at this!!

Maybe this is too simple, or maybe your forum name has some other significance such that you don't want to use it, but why not "Aanata Boas?"

Hmmm... well Aanata is actually not my name it's my "stage name," I DJ. I like it tho, so I'm definitely going to mull that one over for a while too! Thanks!

I think that's a good one since that's what people already know you by on the forums. I like when people pull some aspect of their lives/interests into their handles so a stage name for your reptile breeding thing would be a neat idea.

Surrounded by a bunch of BRB, some Ridleyi, a few Grey Banded Kings, Australian Cattle Dogs, a Belgian Malinois, assorted Mustelids and an incredibly tolerant male human.

I like "Aanata's boas" two reasons...

1) you're already recognised, now build on that

2) alphabetically comes way early in any listings like AAAAA Plumbing

Dang! I wrote a long reply but KS glitched and I lost it! Rrrgh! Well, I'll attempt to re-write it.

The first name I thought of when reading your post was "Cloud Nine Reptiles". Not sure why, it was just what popped into my head. I also like "Aanata's boas" that someone else suggested.

A few other ideas I thought of:

Brilliant Boas
Elegant Epicrates
Ravishing Rainbows (or 'Reptiles')
Aanata's Boa Creations
Live River Reptiles
Nature's Canvas (I really like this one, lol)

Just some ideas, granted a couple of those won't cover your BCI though. Someone also suggested mixing in something from your life that is important to you, and I think that is a great idea. That is what I did to come up with my business name. My two favorite things are flying and snakes, and it works out well because my snakes go flying to get to their new homes!

Take your time to pick out a name you really like. Please let us know what you decide on!

MAKE IT FUNNY!!! I don't know about you guys but when I hear a funny name it sticks. Thats why i choose Bodacious boas, Its just freaking dumb and I love it! Or just get to the point and name it Buy My Boas! Then your website can be Buymyboas.com.
or 401konstrictors... get it 401k cause, thats what the boas provide. Yeah I know im No help and all these are just stupid, but I thought I would waste space and 2 minutes of everyones life who reads this. Anywho tell your better half that I need him to make me a website. Thats if he has time. Call me.

Only after he makes mine... lol. But seriously, will do. He and a couple of my other compy science friends wrote this one in less than a week. It's a promotion company that I helped out before moving to cali

www.introspectiveproductions.com

nothing special, but we needed it in a hurry, and it worked

See now that name was creative... introspective productions... of course that was not me either

I really like Nature's Canvas... that's a good one. So I'm thinking either that or Aanata's Sinuous Creatures. It will take me a while to decide... I'm sure! Thanks tho, some of those were really good! Other things that I'm into is Chemistry, DJing and electronic music, and Mythology. I was thinking of making the O in Sinuous an oroborus or writing the logo using periodic table abbreviations if possible.

If the 'O' is an oroborus, wouldn't that imply that your snakes eat themselves? I don't think *I* would buy from you then - I prefer my pets not to be digestively suicidal.

LOL... the oroborus is actual a symbol of renewal and the cyclic nature of life. Scholars think it is the original yin yang sign as one half of the snake was in the light and the other in a shadow. I really like the symbol, but that's just my nature

Yeah, I know what the symbol is about - I just figured it made for a half decent joke. Honestly when the time comes for me to get a rainbow boa, it'll probably end up coming from Dave Colling just because I like the look of the pearls so much, and maybe they'll be old enough to breed about the time I'm ready to get one - were it not for that, anybody who takes the time to post on here would be high on my list. I certainly wouldn't exclude anyone for their choice of logo.
