Chunker Kansas male!

ntfish Aug 13, 2008 02:03 PM

Well, after my first couple of Kansas collared trips, I was starting to wonder if there were any males down there. I had spotted ten females and no males. Yesterday, I went out again and spotted 17 collareds, eight of them males. The day was perfect, it was around 78 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Here is a photo of the biggest male I came across. This guy has a very nice chartreuse coloration, very fat thighs, and I'm guestimating 50-55 grams in weight.-Scott

That is a chunk a lizard! He is something! I have four males and one female Kansas, but they weren't wc.

LOVE the Kansas collareds, I took in rescues last year that were horribly amaciated, full of snake mites and they did not make it. One day I would like a nice healthy pair from that locale.

He's a handsome fellow!
