Looks like a pyro pyro to me.
If you want to send it to my house, I'll do a proper ID

looks like an Algama to me.

The nose is wrong for agalma - I think it definitely is Lampro pyromelana

Whether it is L p pyromelana or L p knoblochi or L p woodini or whatever I'm less sure about, but I'm pretty sure it is L p something.

Where's the high band count Bugger from? ( they are ALL nice!)

snake_bit Aug 14, 2008 12:26 PM

Last august I went out to see my old buddy in Tucson AZ. I have made this trip about 4 or five times in the last 9 years.Only one time did I find a pyro, shown in this photo

Last year I met a guy that has kept pyros for about 35 years. This guy has a room full of knockout pyros. He was giving his neonates away because its not legal to sell them. He gave me three and I took him and his wife out to thier favorite texmex joint. I think he felt bad I didnt find any.
In ten days I will fly back out and hike and camp in the Santa Ritas mts for a week and guess who Ill take out to dinner again?
The locale on these is unclear because of the long breeding history(35 years) and back then locale was not always kept pure.He did say that the high band count with the crossovers was a line from southeastern AZ. I hope to get a female to match it and a male to match the other two females.

above photo from last sept I think and one below is from this past summer. These things grow so fast.

Anyone else going out that way this month let me know maybe we can meet up

But that top pic speaks to me. Awesome animals. I love that they generally have such nice dispositions too. Never had one do that chew on you thing. Good luck with them.

Pyro pyro or worst case scenario a Tarahumara Mt. Kingsnake x Sonoran Mt. Kingsnake. A lot of that was done in the 1990's when the Tarahumaras were $450 each.

Yes,....it looks to be a pyro pyro(Arizona Mtn. King) to me too, and an outstanding one at that!. From the very high band count, and the way some of the red rings don't quite go all the way around ventrolaterally, it could have a hint of knoblochi in it as well.

In any case though, that is one heck of a door present!

All I get are utility bills!..LOL!

Well, Jeff, I will get the word out that I am now into reptiles and no longer take cats! But knowing my luck I will probably just get rattlesnakes.
