Photo's of a few of my babies

nyrich44 Aug 14, 2008 08:26 AM

Here are some photo's of a few of my babies during feeding time. I have 11 total. I will post some more photo's of them soon and also of the parents. I was also wondering how soon can you determine the sex of babies. I am very curious as to how many males and females there are.

Beautiful, yet dusty, baby boxies. I think you're going to have to wait it out to figure out what sexes you have. Although, if you hatched these, you should be able to know from the temp you had them at in your incubator, unless you let nature take its course.

Love that log in the last pic, by the way. I have something similar for my Eastern juvies and it's a God send on these hot days.

I have the adults in another pen to the side of this one and I just let nature take its course out there. I kinda know when to start looking for babies based on the last 2 years. I start looking in Sept. I have never really even seen the adults laying the eggs. I guess they are dusty from the dirt I wet down the enclosure every day.

Sweeeet!!!Nice looking kids, congrats. I felt eggs on several different days during the past few weeks in one of my female 3 toes, and the other day I couldn't feel anything, so I don't know if she laid or what, I dug around a bit but didn't find any.
