15 days left eggs dimpling??

dacherrypicker Aug 14, 2008 02:14 PM

Does this sound about right? They are just dimpling a litle bit more everyday! I dont want to open the incubator and candle them but last time I checked I could not see any mass. That was about a week ago. Does mass usually build during the last couple weeks? Thanks!

Sounds perfect! Let 'em 'sweat' it out... they will hatch just fine. I actually take as much water out of the egg box as possible the last two or so weeks using paper towel to dry off the inside walls of the box. Post pics when they hatch.

Take away all moist? Including substrate???

No no no... I just wipe down the inside of the egg box so there's no dripping humidity, like every other day. I don't dry the eggs out. I just take away some of the moisture they're releasing out. Babies always hatch out plump with little to no yolk attached.

Ok good thats exactly what I did! Will they continue to dimple till hatch time? I will be out of town on day 55 so I want to make sure my roomate knows what to look for and what to do!

Most of my eggs will go to nearly half size, then a MONSTER sized baby pops out! Have no worries.
