From these laid on 4/6/08

....to this sight on a very fine drizzly day 11/08/08.

Natural daylight
This baby measures 21cm and weighs 6g and wants to kill anything that moves. I didn't get any decent pictures of the threat display but throat inflation and 'S'ing up quite impressively.... or it would be if the snake was a decent size!

Some showing the iridescence of this species nicely.

I caught the next egg pipping on the morning of 12/08/08, although I couldn’t stick around to watch the snake emerging.

Taken in natural light.

Taken with flash.
This one is 24cm long and a beefy (compared to its sibling) 8g.
Here's number 2 then...

...and the inevitable tongue shot........

Number 3 weighs and measures exactly the same, as does the egg it came from. (24cm, 8g & 5cm x 2cm). This one hatched on 13/08/08.

4th one out, 13/08/08.

...and now posing for the obligatory naked baby portrait (the only purpose of which is surely to embarrass the subject in front of prospective mates when adult, usually accompanied by chimes of "oh what a lovely boy/girl, whatever went wrong" or is that just me?). This one's 20cm long, 6g & the egg measured 4.5 x 2 cm.

Number 5 emerged on the morning of 14/08/08. The 5th one out, is quite defensive, longer and definitely tried to bite, unlike the bluffs of some of the others. This one measured 28cm, 8g & the egg measured 5.5cm x 2cm.
Please excuse the blue cast from this early mornings light.

I get home from work to find the last egg pipping and a little movement.... 14/08/08.

Head peeks....

The last one out, number 6. 28cm long, 8g and the egg was 5.5 x 2cm.

I kill you!!!
