LUMINESCENT IVORY?

bsr inc Aug 14, 2008 10:52 PM

fluorescent ball?-fluorescent ivory?-joker ivory? fantasy ball?-fantasy ivory? what to name it? Here is a pic matt took today of one of the baby ss ivories. There color is getting better as they grow. Seem to getting more defined pattern as well. I am psyched to see how these turn out at a year.

The Lavender color really stands out most to me. Stunning.

we thought alot about that one.

The only problem I see with that is if someone eventually produces a lavender albino ivory. There could be some confusion there.

my thoughts exactly!

kind of leaning toward fluorescent ivory

I think a great name would be IRIDESCENT IVORY!!!!!!!!! Because the colors are insane!!!!!! thanks BOB

I think that there is a Retic morph going by that, but all I see when I look at the pics is PURPLE!

Just want to propose a hypothesis for this that I think might be at least somewhat correct, lemme know what you think, under the assumption that Yellowbelly / Spectre / Graphite are all alleles at the same locus:

Allele Pairings:
Yellowbelly Normal = Yellowbelly
Yellowbelly Yellowbelly = Ivory
Yellowbelly Spectre = Superstripe
Yellowbelly Graphite = Ivory Superstripe
Graphite Spectre = ?

This is assuming that Graphite is somewhere halfway between the original yellowbelly allele and the Spectre allele, which visually does seem to be the case.

Sounds like very possibly what is going on. If it is, then "Ivory Superstripe" might be a confusing name for the Yellow BellyGraphite because it is its self a combo and doesn't contain all the ingredients for Ivory or Superstripe.

that is amazing?

jyohe Aug 16, 2008 07:21 AM

sounded self explainatory enough to me.....

....gives them a little German appeal too?.......

yeah--just dont want to step on anyones toes by infering a relationship with the super stripes

jyohe Aug 17, 2008 06:36 PM

toes can be shoed......

names are names,,.if that's what they are ,....?

and you said SS Ivory not actually using the whole name.......

..?......call them Rammel's balls?.........

how do you spell Rammel?.....(use any of Hitlers' mens' names.....)......

.....

bsr inc Aug 17, 2008 08:02 PM

dude--are you being serious? Are you actually referencing hitler and the third reich in a post I started about naming a ball? Never was a big fan of adolf, his men or his work----

jyohe Aug 18, 2008 05:24 PM

...........it's just the SS.......

.......I never met him so I don't know him........yes he was kinda wierd........

I collect antique junk ....it's just that the SS and WW11 nazi stuff sells for alot of cash.....

don't take it wrong......we all think of whatever when an ss pops up.......could have said KISS ball but the keyboard doesn't shape the S the way either one used it......

anyways.....

it is what it is...super striped ivory.....and it's cute as hell.......

not all morphs need a cute or stupid name..........

Peace .
