.....how are your little BHP hatchies doing?
Man....mine are growing like weeds.
D.
Still a feeding battle...
Any advice? I'm assisting small mice down the hatch. Not the most fun I've ever had!
One of the four eats which I reckon is better than NONE! hahahaha... I'm going to bring them to Daytona. I hope the change of pace maybe jump starts them. A friend of mine does that with Grey Bands and it actually works! I figure I'll give that a shot. Thanks for asking! Drop by and say hello (#112/#113)

Out of my clutch of 12, only 2 wouldn't feed, and 6 are growing like weeds. As to assist-feeding, I've found that rat tails are easier to work with in feeding than small mice. Convenient shape to get down.
Make sure the rats are dead before removing the tails

LMAO! Yeah, I've been doing that... but a good friend recommended the small mice for the overall nutritional jump start. So, I'm hangin' in there and trying different things. Maybe the Expo will fire them up!
Matt
I'll definitely come by.... For sure.
You know...I've found that with baby BHP's.....there is no ONE thing that works.
You just have to keep changing it up.
They'll go eventually.
Some eat during the day, some at night, Some will eat rats, some will eat mice, some will eat African Furred, Some will only eat if you leave the prey in a tube, Some will only eat if the prey is left on the cold side, some on the hot side, Some like fur, some don't, Some will only go in a deli cup, etc.......
They're funny.
Most of mine went on their own this year but, no consistency yet.
We'll talk at the show.
Cheers.
D.
Very nice little carrot top!
and Brian is a great guy to deal with!
I have 1.2 from that same clutch...
Awesome, you should post some sibling photos!
