Hey Rick,

now THAT'S a vacation. Haven't been on a boat in years, but hopefully that will change soon. Great pic. And the type o' fish?

Rick,

...Add "salty" and "sea legs" to that list! That looks like a very nice Blue on the end of that gaff...In any case, it looks like you had an excellent day on the water...

You've got to watch their teeth if you try to remove the hook before they've "chilled out" in the cooler though...

Here's to old "salts" and way to go man!!!!

Later,

Hi Rick

Nice catch. Went to the seas too early this year and saw a couple of these

Then went to a drier place early in the summer and saw these and more!

Summer ain't over yet so SW will be a near future destination.

Great photography as usual. That Great Basin is beautifull, if it's from the same area as the Speck, I have seen many real lookers from near there as well, that one is the best I have seen.

A member of the "Jack" family. They are found along the Eastern Pacific, Gulf of California and New Zeland. They are great eating and hard fighting. I went on a five day fishing trip aboard the Red Rooster III. It's been a long time since I could fish and even though my left arm didn't work like I wished it would I caught over 35 Yellowtail (most released), a Yellowfin Tuna, several Dorado (dolphin fish...also released), and a large Red Snapper. I'm still not recovered, but the pain was worth it...I love to fish.

Sounds like you had a really good time, I haven't went saltwater fishing in so long I am envious. I love it, there is nothing like it. Great pic btw.
