I went to the san jose Bird Mart reptile show last weekend. i was very disappointed. With all the advertising about being the largest in california and having the largest selection in the world (their comments, not mine), you'd think it would have been bigger. False advertising, if you ask me. The only 2 good things about it was Monster was handing out Free drinks! And a breeder that I really wanted to meet was there.
I picked up a few snakes from Carol huddleston from Low Belly Reptiles.
here are a couple pics

I got a pair of hypos that are het lav motley
The female is zig zag

and I got a lavender PH hypo blood
she has some aztec to her

I was a little disappointed that there were absolutely no emperor scorpions on Saturday - my little brother *really* wanted one. That's like the undisputed standard beginner scorpion, and one of the few that is somewhat captive propogated in decent numbers. How can they not be there?

Got him a whip scorpion instead.

I picked up a blizzard Cal King and a Reverse Okeetee from Carol (het for motley and anery) - the RO is actually for my little brother, but he's going to let me breed it to my lavender motley (50% het amel) at some point, to start an opal motley project.

I think he wants to breed her to his 2006 male normal Okeetee (and I use the term Okeetee loosely, if I were selling his Okeetee - it would be a nice normal, but it was bought as an Okeetee) - so I guess my lavender motley will have to wait in line.

Carol had some really nice snakes there, I should have remembered to rob a bank before attending.

I also think the San Jose show needed more people taking money - we must have spent at least 30 minutes after the doors opened just to get in.

I feel ya on the robbing the bank. I would have loved to walk away with about 90% of Carol's table. lol.
Odd about the waiting in line. I got there on sunday, about 45 minutes after open, walked right up to the booth. The lady taking money was not the brightest crayon in the box, but it didn't take long. I think there was only one person after me, as well.

lol. actually, I knew this show was going to be pretty small. Amazing that even knowing that, I was still let down.

Carol is great. I would have loved to talk to her at length, but my boyfriend had his kids and they were impatient.
Have you purchased from her before?

I helped her prove out the ultramel I posted a picture of below.
She did the corn to grey rat trials but didn't have an available amel female to test him out as ultramel so I bred him to one here.
produced ultramels and amels.
Proved him to be ultramel
