im just wonderinf if i can use a light that came wit the cage it just melted my plastic cage whle i was cleaning so can i put it ontop a screen hang it or not use it i dontwant my beardie fried

What size is the cage and what size bulb do you have? Any bulb will melt plastic if it is placed over it directly. Your best bet is to set up the basking area, put the screen top on, and leave a thermometer on the basking area where it is closest to the light. As long as the hottest point doesn't reach in excess of 120 degrees the beardie should be fine. The other end of the cage shouldn't be warmer than 84 or 85 degrees as well. Hope this helps.
