Dangerous Reptariums...

johne Aug 16, 2008 09:13 PM

Just thought I'd post something I learned today that is vary dangerous for Reptarium users. I really don't care for mine first of all...for larger lizards especially, as they can hang up their toe nails in the netting and cause some injuries. So for smaller lizards, this is not so bad, as their own body weight is not putting pressure on their toes if they do get snagged up.

This is what I learned today...Please read. If you use a Reptarium...please take care in where you place it. I typically put mine outside and have a small portion of it in shade. Today, I had my only collared out sunning (male aquaflame) all day to get some nice sunlight. My driveway gets very nice sunlight all day long...seemed perfect. Until...

My wife decided to leave unexpectedly...I was working on the front of my house, and she comes up carrying my Reptarium broken in pieces with two huge holes in it...ran it right over!!!!

Fortunately, my lizards was able to avoid being smashed by the tires. He was fine and now waiting a new Reptarium for sunning.

Whewwwwwwwwww.

Thanks for reading, and please keep this in mind!

Sorry Johneee, I could not resist ! I did want to say I am really glad that Chili is okay! I stopped using the reptariums, I was not crazy about how dark they are, and how easy they are to put a hole in. One of my lizards kept digging at a corner and tore right through, luckily I was right outside when it happened.

Also I have big hawks that sit on the roofs around here , did not like the fact of a net cage where he could see it and just tear it to shreads if he wanted my lizards :0(

I don't see how you blame the Reptarium for your wife running it over. If you leave your cellphone on the floor and someone steps on it breaking it, is it the cellphone's fault? No, it's the person who left it on the floor.
