Classified picture help...

Steve_Harrison Aug 16, 2008 10:24 PM

Hey,

I've been trying to find out for years how to post multiple pics on a classified ad using photobucket or similar web hosting site. I just can't seem to get the photos small enough to put on the kingsnake server.

Any help?

Thanks,

Steve Harrison

I use Photobucket and typically resize the pics to 600 to 800 by ?. The first number being the 600 to 800 the other number auto changes and it usually works.

Small enough?

Are you trying to upload them to KS or display them from PB? If you are trying to load them to KS, you'll have to reduce their size (not so much size X size but an total kb size). If directly from PB, just put the link into the add that points to the PB picture.

Steve,
your pics are not uploading because you're most likely over their cap limit.

Windows XP and above has a feature if you have your pics on your hard drive you can resize them to any size you want.

all you need to do is right click on the pic then do the following....

open with > Microsoft Office Picture Manager > edit pictures > resize.

or........................

upload multiple pics to a hosting site and then post using HTML tags.

either way you may have to resize cause if the pic is to big people viewing it on their end will have to scroll up/down/left/right to view the entire pic.

If you know you are only going to use the pics for ads or other computer stuff, take them small at the start. I only have a point and shoot cool pix, I set image size to PC, no re-sizing is needed. Most of my pics are used to identify hets and are stored on my computer, you don't need size for that.
