Sunglow litter born 8-16-08

TopNotchBoas Aug 17, 2008 01:26 PM

This litter really threw me for a loop this year. I went from thinking she was gravid with a large number of babies... to thinking she was not gravid at all... to thinking she was full of slugs... and then back again.

This was from a repeat pairing of last year - my 2003 Albino Het Stripe female to my 2004 Sunglow male. The sunglow male sired an arabesque sunglow litter which dropped previously (he's a stud!).

Getting the female out was a a chore to say the least. She was in absolute kill mode... nearly got my face a time or two!

Anyway - I ended up with 5 sunglows and 8 albinos. Not the best odds but again, I'll take it!

Thanks everyone!

It will be neat comparing these kids with the other sunglows born in April of this year from the same father. Their mother was an arabesque het albino het stripe. Here's a female from that litter:

I'll get some post shed shots of the new ones as soon as they shed!
