I vended the Portland Metro Expo yesterday & spent more then I made. Nice animals at a good price is a hard thing to resist.
I took a few quick photos of some of the new guys as I was getting them set-up & figured might as well share them.
Enjoy

1st pic is the female Hypoerythristic Sinaloan
2nd pic a couple of female Hypo Hondos het Anery
3rd pic is the Hypo Sinaloan again with the male that's het Hypo & pos het Albino

At 11 RBR(red body rings) and the triads(rings of three) looking like they do,.....that has to be THE MOST extreme form of hypo-E sinaloae I've EVER seen to date!. I've seen other hypoerythristics, but not one that comes close to that one.

What is the history behind that one?,......it looks to be absolutely genuine, and if it isn't,.....someone went to great lengths back-breeding to make one THAT convincing without exposing intermediate forms that would give this away.

That one looks almost TOO good to believe, but EVERYTHING is in all the right places for sure!...wow!....what gives here?

The normal one is outstanding as well, and they look like they might be related stock,.....who's line are those?......VERY nice indeed!

best regards, ~Doug

if the normal looking sinaloan is possible het albino, then its not pure...but it is nice looking anyway.

OOOPS!,...yes,I failed to pickup on that one!..LOL!...I should be put in the corner with a "dunce cap" for a while..hahaha!

But, yes, it does look extremely Sinaloan!, but still leaves the question about the extreme amount of hypoerythrism/anerythrism in the other one?.........hmmmmm.

Read the original post again- The HypoE is not het - the normal one is.

Yes, I know the normal one is the one that is het. Dave was simply pointing out the fact that the normal being het for albino(amelanism) makes it a nelsoni intergrade somewhere along the way. Which of coarse makes one wonder about the validity of the other one, even though it is a different trait altogether......RIGHT DAVE NILES?..hahaha!

Like I said earlier, it looks VERY genuine, but anything is possible if you do some......"things"!, that's all we were getting at.

I was wondering the same thing on the ride home about the male being intergraded with Nelsoni somewhere in it's family tree. It looks pretty diluted.
Doe's this mean that the Albino splotched sinaloans are intergrades as well?

Dniles Aug 17, 2008 09:04 PM

Yes, you are right about that.

Thanks Doug, I thought it was to good to believe myself when I saw these guys. The funny thing is four other people were looking at them & only wanted to buy the male but the vendor was unwilling to split up the pair.
The guy I got them from originally purchased them from Joshua Martin (Colubrid Concepts). The females parents were both Hypoes produced by Pete Cragg. The males father was produced by Terry Dunham & is a spotted/aberrant het Albino. The Aberrant gene is from Applegate line. The mother is a Hypoe produces by Pete Cragg so I'm asumeing they have the same mother being the female is an 04 & the male is an 05.
That's all the info I was got. So if anyone can add that would be really appreciated.
I've never seen anything like the Hypoe female befor & the price was right so I had to snag them.
Thanks again,
Chris

Thanks in Advance.

It's my understanding that Pete Cragg started the hypo-e line of sinaloans. He used to call them pumpkin sinaloans. Nathan Wells got Pete's collection some years ago so he could probably tell us more. Very nice pick up!
