Hi this summer i bought:
1.1 malis-fresh import
1.1 geyri-fresh import
0.2 geyri- long term captives
They are all starting to eat less, infact the 1.1 geyri's have totally stoped eating and the male actually lost 15 grams! They seem to be starting brumation, but my malis female is actually eating more now. What should i do? Should i go with the flow take out the food now and in two weeks slowly turn down the lights, or should i wait another month? In Africa isn't it their winter or fall now?? What should i do, i am experienced in uros but this is the first time i have fresh imports going to brumation this early. I know this is common but its been 2 weeks now and they didn't come out of it. Also, i know during brumation you should stop feeding them, but i have over 20 bages of dirt, sand, and pebbles combined in my tank and some seeds are in the substrate from when they kick them out of their dry food dish. If i really mix it up would this be ok? So do i start to brumate now, or should i just wait and see what happens.
