"Well, there's your problem!"
Ha! Ha! Sorry, couldn't resist, Laura. I can just hear the girls sayin' it.
Too much humidity can be just as bad as too little. I usually shoot for 60 - 65%. I feel that gives a lil' leeway in both directions. The closer to 65% the better, in my humble opinion.
Actually, I would consider it a good, although unintended, test/experiment. This is for the albino you rescued, right? The one with frequent urinating? I'm curious to know if its urinating habits changed any under the high humidity. And whether or not it continued to drink large amounts of water.
Also, if I remember right, didn't you say it usually shed in pieces? Did it shed in the high humidity environment? Any difference?
You may find that it may fair a tad better with slightly higher humidity, say..., around 70%, and still be relatively safe from bacterial issues. I say that due to the conditions it was kept in before you got it.
Oh, one more thing - now's a good time to try Kelly's hygrometer test. I've been meaning to, just haven't gotten around to it, yet.
Hang in there!
Mike
