Next snake purchase advice

wbcrows Aug 18, 2008 12:21 PM

Guys want to thank everyone here for their advice since I'm a novice. I purchased a Brooksi at the last White plains show and I'm psyched for the Sept show. What advice can anyone shed(no pun intended) on Mex Black Kings, Thayeri or anything else anyone can suggest as far as a pet besides my brooksi.

table #184 DAYTONA EXPO

You know - Rana draytonii use to be Rana aurora draytonii because they look extremely similar to Rana aurora (what use to be Rana aurora aurora) it turns out that Rana aurora is closer to Rana cascadae than it is to Rana draytonii.

is that the PB Ghost? is it from this year or last ,cause i was wondering if the ghostlyness stays ? like the pb hatching looks lav as a juvi and turns PB...Chris

Sorry that is a Peweter and not a Phantom.

You are refferring to the Phantom as the Peanut Butter ghost which is a result of breeding a Peanut Butter to a Anerythristic.

The Pewter is a Jelly x AXANTHIC

Yeah. Sometimes there are hot women.
And if there aren't, you just didn't bring enough beer.

When I was young(don't ask ) the girls all thought we were GEEKS for having snakes. Now days if you have a few snakes you might have a hot babe with tatts and a ring in her face some place and maybe a few more on her ............

Damn I am handsome

I do not need to think about..

If you like only pure ones species then my advice is definetly to go thayeri way.. middle sized kingsnake, calm, tame and beautiful.. but what you will apreciate most is hatching.. Like Maria says.. life is like box of thayeri eggs.. it means that it's full of beautiful surprises..
With other Kings hatching will turn out to be a little bit more boring each year than previous one.. because snakes are moreless copies of their parents.. but not thayeri.. You never know what beauty is waiting inside each of eggs.. It's very different than when other snakes are hatching.. And almost never you will be disappointed.. With these snakes you will just never get bored..

If you are ok with not exactly pure then go for Pastels.. they are even more beautiful than thayeri.. colors are getting only better with the age.. it's moreless albino thayeri (ruthveni blood is minimal there and from phentype angle it's 0,0000001%). Plus all what I have said above about thayeri fits also on Pastels.

I plan to have only these two Kings in future..
