Any of you CORNSNAKE ppl keep parrots?

HerpZillA Aug 18, 2008 11:21 PM

I know a corn snake forum, so I ask, if cornsnake people also keep any parrots/keets/teils/toos etc.

It always seems to me, that herp people keep parrots fairly commonly. But bird people rarely keep herps.

I hope this does not get pulled. Birds are herps with feathers!

I find birds disgusting and creepy!...............just kiddin'..LOL! But yes, I also find that is basically what most bird people would say about snakes, etc...

Birds are cool, but I've never owned any, from what I've seen, they seem like so much more work than snakes,....and snakes won't wake up the neighbors..........unless one gets loose and crawls into their bed, or someone else screams because they saw one!..hahahaha!

I keep herps, parrots, & a Reef Tank as well. I guess working in a public aquarium got to me.

Just started with snakes...love the two I have so far and feeling the addiction.

I used to have parakeets that I would train to do fun little tricks, but gave them up. Surprisingly, those little guys are exceptionally hard work to maintain. My parents still breed them, though.

Now, I'm a dog man since I purchased my own home and beginning to be a snake man.

1.0 amenalistic corn snake (yearling)
0.1 normal ball python (yearling)

0.2 English Bulldogs (3 years old and 1 year old)
0.1 miniature piebald Dachshund (1 year old)

1.0 Betta
